This year was a milestone birthday - the BIG Seven Oh.  This was also the first year that I had two birthday parties. The first was at Strathroy hosted by my brother Mike and his wife Susan. My cousin Karen and her husband Don along with your grandmother attended this one.  This party was a surprise in that it was integrated with our annual "Reunion of Cousins" celebration that was scheduled for August.

Susan and Mike gave me a customized T-Shirt celebrating this milestone occasion as well as a beer mug with the same "Vintage 1949" logo.  Susan also provided an awesome birthday cake fully equipped with 70 candles. As you can see from the photos this was quite the celebration.

My second birthday party occurred on my actual birthday September 20^th. Marie took some time to decorate the whole house with 70^th Birthday decorations. As you can see from the photos she did quite the job . 

Cara, our next door neighbour, attended with her two children Mia and Heidi. As shown in the photos the kids had quite the time.  They even helped Marie clean up the decorations after the party. I was presented with my second birthday cake and as you can see from the photo below, Heidi assisted me in blowing out the candles. After the dinner I got to open more presents on the back deck with the assistance of Mia and Heidi who also took the time for a refreshing ice cream cone. 

By far the best present I received with my new 2019 Mustang convertible. It has a V8 engine that produces 440 horsepower that's driven by a 10 speed automatic. It has six driving modes including a Track and a Drag mode. In each mode the suspension, the exhaust, and transmission shift points all change to make it a completely different driving experience.
