The photo at the left is typical of our morning walk on Manasota Beach. We usually left Bill at a picnic table at the entrance to the Beach and the rest of us walked for miles down the beach. Most evenings we gathered around the table for hours of card games, friendly discussions and enjoyed wine and beer. The photo at the right shows one of our many family dinners outside by the pool with the Earles. Below this is a photo of us in front the Pier at Sharky's Fish House. The Pier is a great place to fish or like we did watch other people fish. We also saw Manatees swimming under the pier on that particular visit. That evening we went back to Manasota Beach to wait for the sunset as shown in the photo at the left. Watching the sunset at Manasota Beach is a big event that usually attracts a few hundred visitors. Before the Earles visited we had other visitors. Rita and Ray Russell stopped by to visit us a couple of times. They were renting a condo in Siesta Keys so we were relatively close by. The photos below also show our friends Pat and Larry
Richardson who own a second home in North Port. The photo at the top
shows Marie and Pat getting ready for an evening of drinking with a
bucket of their favorite beer. |
